  3. As a competitive athlete and coach in cross-country and track, I have seen how one's mental state strongly affects athletic success. I really like how you say "Preparation precedes confidence, and confidence leads to victory." This is well stated and very true. If athletes can feel (or at least believe) that they are skilled, able and capable, they have a huge advantage over at least some, if not a lot of the competition. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Coaches can say you're great, parents can believe in you, but it ultimately comes down to the individual's perception of their competency and beliefs. Thanks for your comment!
